The Dimond Video Gamers Club meets on Thursdays after school in MPR 1 from to 2 p.m. to 4 p. m. On some days you can catch Club sponsor Robert Hartley hitting up the controls on the Nintendo Wii. The DVG Club has a Nintendo Wii specifically for club use and hopes to add another this year. Other gaming systems played in the club in addition to the Wii are Microsoft XBOX 360, Sony Playstation 2 and Nintendo DS. Gamers with any other video gaming system or any new games may bring them in to share and discuss feedback tips, according to co-president Kier Boas, a junior. The club is open to all students who love video games. It has become a haven for avid gamers, and it’s “fun and great to meet other video gamers,” Boas added. In previous years the DVG club has held gaming tournaments with prizes. No tournaments have been officially set yet, but look out for some this year.
