As a little kid, she was a camper. She loved camping a lot, especially with her family. She and her family would always go camping because it was a fun family thing for them. She loves camping because it makes her feel like an outdoor person. Plus, you get to enjoy the nature and the wilderness if you go camping. (They would go camping with their RV. They have gone camping with a tent before, though. But they prefer to use their RV instead). Cortez said, “What I look forward into camping is just having fun by spending quality time with your family and cherish all the laugh and moments with them.” She also expects that there would be a campfire along with marshmallows, as well. (The season she would best prefer for camping is summer because the most time she would go camping with her family is in the summer. “Plus, it would not be that cold if it was winter,” Cortez said). Ever since she has gotten older, she and her family would camp less and less now that she is older. She said she misses it, a lot. Sophomore Sharleen Sanchez said she has gone camping a couple of times before. She is not much of a fan of camping, either. The worst camping experience she went through is leaving her cell phone behind. She said without her cell phone was very boring. She had to leave her cell phone behind because she is always on it. So her dad said not to bring it and enjoy spending time with her family. She did have a good time with her family, but she just wished she had her phone because she was a bit bored. Sanchez said “I don’t like camping because I’m more of an indoor person. If I leave my house, I will end up missing my bed. I am not lazy, I just love my bed so much because it relaxes me. But if I did like camping, what I would look forward to is bringing my cell phone along with me and spend time with my family of course. Maybe bring a tent or a RV van and food and drinks would be fine with me.” Sophomore Russell Seymoure said he likes camping along with his family. He has gone camping five times in his life. Russell Seymoure said he has a worst and best camping experience. His worst experience is falling in the river. His best experience is having a bonfire and eating marshmallows and s’mores with his family. He said it was a blast. What Seymoure expects is to just have a well-spent time with his family and enjoy the fun. He prefers to camp in the summer because it is so much more warmer than any other seasons and it is better. Sophomore Judy-Ann Banez said she has been camping only once before. She cannot really say what is her best or worst experience of camping because she has not really faced one yet. She went to Kenai on the beach and it was fun, but then later on the waves started getting closer. So they left pretty early. Banez said, “I only went once, so I can’t really say if I liked it or not, but I think it would be fun.” Next time she goes camping and for a longer time, she hopes it will be more fun since she only went camping for a short amount of time. The season she prefers to go camping in is winter because most people would say they would choose summer. So she looked at the other side of it. She likes the cold, but not too much cold.
