Below, you will find some of the greatest do’s and don’ts on relationships according to yours truly! As you can tell, I have clearly run out of ideas. These can be different based on the people but these are strictly my opinion and I feel like they can be helpful. To those struggling to keep relationships, I give this as a gift to you.
Relationships are something that is always a big effort because you never know what the other person is thinking. Whether it be a friendship, romantic relationship, or anywhere in between, everyone always wants something different. Getting a relationship is just as hard as maintaining it and sometimes it can be stressful. So all I have to say is just take your time and don’t rush into things.
First of all, let’s talk about the don’ts then finish off with do’s. So as a person who values other’s feelings and opinions, always make sure to communicate with the person you’re close with. The last thing anyone wants is a miscommunication that can end up in a break in the relationship. When you’re upset with your person, you should openly, calmly explain your side of things. Remember that no one can read your mind so if you want a point to get across, you’re the only person that can do so. Another thing not to do is lie. This also goes along with communication but it’s a little different. Lying gets you absolutely nowhere. The longer you keep a lie, the bigger it’ll blow up in your face. Honestly, you’re better off telling the truth right away before the other person has to find out from somebody else. That is always crazy. Make sure not to, under any circumstances, betray your person! I am so tired of seeing relationships fall apart because someone talked bad about someone they’re close with. Literally, why would you do that? Anyways, just don’t do it. Stay loyal everybody!
To finish off this article, let’s go over the dos of relationships. When in a relationship, the best thing to do is to make sure that they know that you value their opinions and feelings as well. Every once and a while check on them to make sure they are doing ok. The key to anyone’s heart is to show that you care. If you’re a person for physical touch, be sure to give a hug frequently. As a person who loves hugs, people need to give more hugs. Hugs are like a big act of reassurance. Speaking of reassurance, do that! If your person is overthinking, always be there for them. All a lot of people need is a shoulder to cry on. Be that person that they can vent to at any time of the day or night. Also, make sure they are that person for you. Make sure they are in it for the right reasons before you get too attached. That is all I can come up with right now so that’s all you are going to get. Thanks for reading!
