iPhone Eight and Eight Plus: Time to Move Up?

On Sept. 12, Apple released the official news that the new iPhone Eight and Eight Plus would start shipping all over the world Sept: 22, along with the iPhone X that will start shipping over the world on Nov: 3.

The iPhone Eight and Eight Plus are available in the colors silver, gold and space grey, while the iPhone X comes in only two colors, silver and space grey.

“Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience. And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, your voice, and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality…” Apple posted on the new iPhone X.

A lot of people are excited for the new iPhones, but some are skeptical of whether or not they are any different than the iPhone seven, and if they’re worth buying.

Of 10 random Dimond High School students, I asked if they would give up the iPhone they have now and pay for one of the new iPhones, only one said they would.

To start off, the new iPhone Eight and Eight Plus have a lot of new features that were not on the iPhone Seven, but people have wondered if it’s really necessary for the iPhone Eight and Eight Plus, when the iPhone X comes out about a month and a half after the Eight and Eight Plus.

“I think it’s a decent evolutionary upgrade. It’s not revolutionary, it was just an evolving [upgrade],” said Dimond’s technology coordinator Charles McCubrey.

McCubrey said, “because of the glass back and the wireless charging, I think that was a big enough deal for them [Apple] to not do the seven S”

As Apple posted on the new durable glass back, “[It is] the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, front and back.”

The new iPhone Eight, Eight Plus and iPhone X are built to be basically lifeproof, being able to withstand water, dust, dirt and falls.

One of the biggest things about the two new iPhones that a lot of people are excited about is that it can now charge wirelessly because of the glass case.

But there is one thing a lot of people are concerned about: How long does the battery last? The answer is, if you’re looking for an iPhone that has a lot of battery life, the iPhone Eight, Eight Plus and X are not the phones to buy.

Although the battery life of an iPhone Eight and Eight Plus is longer than the iPhone X, that doesn’t mean they’re good phones to buy.

The iPhone Eight and Eight Plus have a smaller battery than the iPhone Seven and Seven Plus.

The wireless charging does make it charge faster, though, but a lot of people say that if it has a shorter battery life, then the wireless charging doesn’t matter to them.

People would rather have a cord and larger battery than what the iPhone Eight and Eight Plus have.

If you’re also looking for an iPhone that is relatively cheap, then don’t even think about buying one of the three new iPhones.

The 64GB iPhone Eight is $699.99, while the 256GB iPhone Eight is $849.99.

The 64GB iPhone Eight Plus is $799.99, while the 256GB iPhone Eight Plus is $949.99.

The 64GB iPhone X is $999.99, while the 256GB iPhone X is $1,149.99.

“It’s a lot, and without the subsidies now it’s very expensive, but when you look at the comparable phones of the other companies like the Galaxies, they’re up there in price. So, yeah, I think it’s a good price for the iPhone,” McCubrey said.
