Different Languages

There are so many languages in the world. What languages do you know? Do you know somebody that speaks a lot of languages? Well, today we will learn about the different languages, how many we can count, and much more. According to lingua.edu, there are 7,106 current living languages in the world. Everyone here should know English, it’s the most common language in the world, with 1.1 billion speakers. Some of the most common languages are Mandarin Chinese with 1.1 billion, Hindi with 698 million, and Spanish with 512 million according to laingua.edu.

A student named Jackson Nelson in my journalism class said “Spanish is probably a language I would want to know besides English.” My journalism teacher Mx. Fletcher said “I speak English and Spanish, I can read French, and I know a few phrases in Russian.” There are so many languages in the world. Are there any you wanna know or know a few words in or just be fluent in? I had an auntie that had English as her second language and my native language as her first language. Knowing many languages can help you when you go into a foreign country and want to be able to communicate easily. So many countries, and so many languages, it would be cool to know a lot of them but it does also take time to learn them each.

People often ask what’s the easiest language to learn. It may surprise you but, according to babbel.com, Norwegian is the easiest language to learn. The second one is Swedish, and the third after that is Spanish. Now if you want to learn the hardest language, according to usatoday.com, Mandarin Chinese is the hardest to learn, followed by Arabic. I think everyone knows the most common is Spanish and the second comes as a surprise to me, it’s German. I don’t know if it’s a surprise to you though, but the third is Arabic. My thought would be most people want to know Spanish or other common languages. When people go to foreign countries, they like to communicate with the people there and get around fast while also having a nice trip with their families. So Dimond I hoped you learned a little bit about other languages and maybe one day you will be inspired to learn other languages. Here at Dimond, you can learn French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. It’s also recommended by universities that you take another language.
