Are you in need of a restaurant to go to or try out? Well, if you are, then you’re in the right place! The place I currently have in mind for you to try is “Judy’s Cafe.” Located at 11620 Old Seward Highway, this restaurant is a lovely little place that serves breakfast and lunch foods. Judy’s is open from 7 am to 3 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 3 pm on weekends, and is usually pretty packed on the weekends.
One neat thing about going to this restaurant regularly is that the workers will recognize you, become familiar with your usual orders, and go out of their way to make you feel like you’re a part of the Judy’s Cafe family. The waitresses are always friendly and accommodating, happy to help you in whatever way they can. Upon asking two of the waitresses who work there why they like working at Judy’s, they both replied that it was “Definitely the customers.” When you dine at this small family restaurant, you’ll see that outside they have a plethora of flowers to view, and inside a homey interior. You’ll also be met with a new bouquet just about every week! The wait for your food is typically short, and you’ll have a great time polishing off your plate! During one of my visits there, my family and I found out that at the time, the ages of customers ranged from 5 to 95; which proves that people of any age can enjoy a meal at Judy’s. When asking John and Julie Brown, two regular customers of this small family restaurant, why they like coming to Judy’s, they said that it was, “The food, atmosphere, and waitresses who are really nice.” Not only that, but they even emphasize how “[Judy’s] has the best coffee in town.” To add on, another great thing about this small restaurant is that they never forget to decorate for the various holidays that come and go. One detail I love is that during Christmas, they hang stockings for every worker there!
If you’re considering going to Judy’s and aren’t sure what to order, I highly recommend anything that has bacon, such as a bacon cheeseburger or even just bacon as a side. As opposed to other restaurants, I’ve found that Judy’s cooks their bacon to perfection. To elaborate, if I were to order something with bacon at IHOP, the bacon would either be too cooked or not cooked enough, whereas Judy’s makes it just right. This may differ from individual to individual, so be sure to try it out for yourself before agreeing or disagreeing with me.
If you’re more in the mood for something that doesn’t contain meat, be sure to go to Judy’s and check out their menu for yourself! With all that being said if you haven’t already, Judy’s Cafe is the restaurant you’ll want to go to for your next meal!
Fun fact: Judy’s Cafe first started up in the mid to late 70s!
