Sports Update

October 27, 2022, Dimond Ladies Varsity Volleyball team went against South Anchorage High School. The Dimond Lynx Volleyball overcame the visiting South Anchorage Wolverines in all three sets. Set one was 25-18, set two was 25-22, and lastly, set three was 30-28. So, the final outcome to this game was 3-0, leaving Dimond Lynx volleyball with a record of 37-6. During the Dimond and South game, Lauren Sulte (Senior) got the most attacks, a total number of 41, and Laney Fagerstorm (Senior) came in with the second most attacks: Laney got 23 attacks against the South Wolverines. 

On October 27, 2022, Andrew Billings of the Varsity Swim team had an outstanding championship meet, winning two medals, with his teammate Will Mckinley winning another two medals. Dimond’s Varsity men’s swim team placed second, having won four medals from the championship. With Andrew Billings coming first in 50-yard freestyle and second place for 100-yard freestyle. Will Mckinley won First in 100-yard backstroke, and Third place for the 200-yard freestyle. The Varsity women’s swim team came second in the State Championship, behind South Anchorage, with Isabelle Borke taking first place in both 50- and 100-yard freestyle, and Caroline Waters taking first in both 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard individual medley. Well done, swim team!
