Over the summer, Jozilyn took up her free time playing basketball and traveling down to Nashville, Tennessee, and North Carolina. As part of her trip, she went to see her family and enjoyed all of her time off of school with her mom before her senior year of school. Jozilyn got into journalism because she needed the English credit. As she joined the class, she claimed she got more comfortable with the environment and is excited to see how this semester will go. During our interview, Jozilyn expressed how in the beginning she didn’t have interest in taking this class, let alone writing about certain topics. But, if she had to pick a topic, it would be about the Dimond High Sports. She’s involved with the girl’s basketball team here at Dimond, so she has a better understanding of sports and knows more about the coaching and athletes in the school than an average Dimond High student. Three words Jozilyn used to describe herself were helpful, funny, and loving.
