Have you ever felt like your life was staring right back at you? Like somehow you were just going in circles? Me too.
My name is Miracle, and this is my second year attending Dimond High. I was originally supposed to create an article interviewing myself, but I decided to spin it off a bit. If you haven’t already, head over to our website for more information on everybody’s articles thus far. Igaramkin has had its website for a few years now, so if you ever wondered about what the older articles or older versions looked like, feel free to check it out. There’s even an article about last year’s Igaramkin staff.
Moving forward, people think this class has proven difficult, but I’m here to tell you that it’s not hard at all, should you have a passion for writing. If you join for credits, or just to chat away with your friends I’m afraid that’s not always gonna be the case with this class. We enjoy having fun with both lower and upperclassmen of our class and we always know when to have a good time, but journalism is more than just what some would call a “free period.” This class enhances one’s communication skills and allows them to appropriately express their thoughts, creativity, and above all themselves. That, to me, is what’s important about this class, and why I decided to take it again. I had so much fun last year, while I openly admit that Fletch didn’t have much of a structure last year, the class was still fun and I learned a lot not only from my classmates but from the class itself. I was challenged to not only just write about things I was interested in but things that started conflict. On another note, there’s even a secret article of mine that was never published because of how much tension and humor I had in that article (It was hilarious and all my returning classmates know that.)
Regardless, this class will always have a special place in my heart due to the memories it made. You too can have that or maybe already do! I just want everyone who reads this paper to know that high school doesn’t have to be difficult. Yes, it will be challenging and hard. You’ll wanna quit and just get your GED, but it isn’t worth it. Stay, do your work, and get your diploma. Challenges are what help you grow. This is what made me think about the ‘hall of mirrors’ reference I wrote in the previous title. I may be starting at other lives but none will be my own if I choose to not hold myself accountable for things I know I should.
Have fun, and make memories. Graduate early or on time. I’m closer to being a junior than being a freshman and that’s how you know time doesn’t play around, seriously guys. Make fun and smart choices.
