The American Cancer Society Club is dedicated to raising money for the American Cancer Society. Essentially, it’s a fundraising club, but club President Dana Oh, a senior, explains that it’s much more. “It’s a club dedicated to helping teens become more aware of how cancer affects people’s lives,” Oh stated. The ACSC held a coin drive for breast cancer, with a ribbon-decorated jar in many of the classrooms around school, for those wanting to help out. Those interested in learning more about the ACSC or joining may come to the next meeting Oct. 20 in English Teacher Susan Derrera’s room, A107, during lunch.
