Dimond teachers Wade Roach, Jeffery Keller and Zion Russell sponsor the Science and Engineering Club. The club has more than 100 members; including about 20 students who have chose to join plus students from Russell’s Intro to Engineering class. “We meet on Fridays from two to five!” said Roach. “It’s fun to work with these kids,” said Russell. “They work hard, while having fun.” Their goal for this season is to build small robots to enter in competition. The state competition is Dec. 10. The national competition is March 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. “Having fun is the main goal of this club,” said Roach.
