Crowe was born on August 22, 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida. He moved to Anchorage at a young age and went to Anchorage Montessori School through 5 th grade. Brock then went to Kincaid for 6 th and then went to Jane Mears middle school. His parents are Lane Crowe and Wynd Counts. He has one older sister Sierra Crowe, who is attending Duke University, and a younger brother Tanner Crowe, who is a sophomore at Dimond. “I love my family. My sister, brother and I have good relationships I think, although we do fight some, I could not ask for a better family,” said Brock Crowe. Crowe has enjoyed his high school experience here at Dimond. He is going to miss his cool teachers and all of his friends that he has acquired though the years. Crowe has participated in basketball, tennis, soccer, and baseball for Dimond. He and his team won state for basketball 2012, and Crowe said, “The way this year is going I guarantee we will win state for soccer this year.” “My friends convinced me to play baseball this year. I like it so far but I need to learn some a thing or two, good thing I got the rest of the season,” said Crowe. Crowe is not one of those jocks that can barely keep up his grades just to play the sport. He is doing very well in school; currently his GPA is a 4.26. He has taken many AP classes such as: AP Environmental Science, AP U.S. History, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Language Arts, AP Spanish, AP Statistics, AP Literature, AP Psychology. Crowe is involved in National Honor Society and was in Prom Court this year. His future plans are to have an amazing senior summer full of flying in his fathers float plane, hunting, fishing, and hanging with friends before he departs to college. Crowe obtained a full ride ROTC scholarship to Duke University. His plans are to attend Duke University for pre med, where he will be able to hang out with his sister. “I don’t know why people think it is weird for me and my sister to go to the same college. I am excited to have family at college, she’ll know where all the fun spots are to hang out,” said Crowe. After four years at Duke, he wants to transfer to somewhere in Texas to finish med school. “Yeah, I am looking forward to this year being over and going to Duke. I am going to miss my friends and family and Alaska in general, but this is just the first chapter in my life and I am eager to start the next,” said Crow.
