“It was definitely a summer to never forget,” exclaimed Mrs. Johnson-Harris. Her unforgettable summer started with an educational trip to Europe, where she had the privilege of experiencing many unique cultures by traveling with Dimond students. They traveled to Spain, France, and Italy. While not being able to choose what to eat for dinner when abroad, she got to try new foods, which led her to discover her love for escargot, or snails. She would like to travel back to Italy by herself if given the chance so she can explore even more. Soon after she returned, she hosted a group of bikers from North Carolina, who were featured in the news article, ‘Bikers Make a Trip of a Lifetime to All 50 States’. “It was glorious to hear their bikes roaring by,” recalls Johnson-Harris.
She not only got to enjoy new activities, but she was also able to enjoy her old, much-loved hobbies, one of which was biking. Additionally, she was delighted to tell us all about the new series she was watching, a CIA-like spy thriller called Jack Ryan. Johnson-Harris watched all four seasons! The one thing that could have made the summer better was if the weather was nice, she says. Other than that, she thought this was one of the best summers she’s had in a while.
